Autumn Fair to put home interiors and furniture in the spotlight

Autumn Fair International, taking place at the Birmingham NEC between 7-10th September, will present more than 60,000 new launches from over 1400 UK and international exhibitors – 400 of them new to the show. Promising on-trend, in-stock products ready for Christmas trading, along with the first spring previews of the season – as well as an extended furniture offering – the show promises to be the biggest presentation of new product available to the UK market this season.

This year’s show will feature an extended and refreshed Home Interiors & Furniture sector, occupying hall 2 and part of hall 3 and fronted by a themed entrance for the first time. New exhibitors include Gallery Direct, Chic Antique, Besp-Oak Furniture and Camelot Pictures, and key returning exhibitors include Coach House, Sifcon, Pacific Lifestyle Authentic Models, Clayre & Eef and J&B International.

The international contingent will be led by Dutch suppliers such as Baroque International and Light & Living, the latter of which has a regular presence at European trade shows and has now chosen Autumn Fair as its launchpad into the UK market. Another Dutch firm, Kaemingk, a world-class seasonal decorations supplier, will also debut, presenting its latest developments in home decor and outdoor lighting and fountains.

With 10 vertical market sectors and a vast array of giftware, Autumn Fair offers unrivalled cross-buying opportunities. The product categories comprise Gift, Contemporary Gift & Home, Greetings, Gift & Craft, Home Interiors & Furniture, Kitchen, Dining & Housewares, Children’s Gifts, Toys & Gadgets, Fashion Jewellery & Accessories, Gift, Home & Volume, Body, Bath & Home Fragrance, and The Summerhouse.

A new E-commerce Zone will feature exhibitors covering the full range of internet services, from online marketing and social media to payment systems, offering expert guidance on everything e-commerce and growing business online.

For more designer inspiration retailers can head to hall 3, where the core presentation of Contemporary Gift & Home suppliers will be located, along with the Designlab product feature, the unique Designgap presentation and WGSN Homebuildlife-supported Trend Bar. WGSN will provide design direction and merchandising ideas for the retail community via macro trend concepts to be presented throughout the event.

Also exclusive to Autumn Fair is The Summerhouse area, offering unique home and gift product from 36 designers chosen from around the world.

Finally, underscoring the importance of this show to the wider British economy is the solid presence of UK Trade & Investment (UKTI), which will be on hand to advise exhibitors on how to develop a successful export strategy and expand their business overseas, offering both market knowledge and financial support – as well as driving international retailers to buy British product and invest in world-renowned British design.
