Kickstart Christmas trading this summer at Home & Gift

A favourite buying show with retailers - Home & Gift - is just a few weeks away. Held 14 - 17 July, this well-loved event will once again occupy the Harrogate International Centre, and grounds of the Cairn and Majestic Hotels, all set in the striking town of Harrogate.

Over 1000 exhibitors will congregate in Harrogate to present the best seasonal round up of design–led and every day gifts across homeware, fashion and jewellery and greetings and stationery. Exhibitors include Gisela Graham, Lisbeth Dahl, Portmeirion, Container Group, Widdop Bingham, Joe Davies, Hill Interiors and more, many of which are exclusive to the show this season, such as Alessi, Kaemingk, Max Benjamin, Enesco, Cavallini, Linen House, Heaven Send, Platter Slate, Great Little Crate Company, IC innovations and many more.

In addition to welcoming back familiar favourites, fresh brands including PD Global, KaemingkUK, CIMChome and LEUCHTTURM1917 to name but a few, will be participating. With such a diverse selection of suppliers, Home & Gift 2013 is sure to deliver an impressive range of product from around the world, making it the destination for retailers wishing to stay ahead of the competition this Christmas. A number of ranges will enjoy their first ever outing at Harrogate. From the Silver Slate Signature Collection by The Just Slate Company, to Nuzzles by Joe Davies and the No.20 range by Pintail Candles, Home & Gift makes the task of sourcing bestsellers a hassle-free experience. Established exhibitors should not to be forgotten either as they continue to attract custom with the obtainment of new brand licenses.

Along with never-before-seen exhibitors and product launches, an engaging new sector is introduced this year – Spotlight, located in Hall G. Accessed via Hall H, this area will present contemporary and design-led talent from across the UK. Highlights include Ohh Deer, White Leaf, Ping Ping Jewellery, Courgette Cards, BEECycle and many more. Spotlight will give buyers the opportunity to tap into previously undiscovered territory, providing a point of difference for their customers when compared with competitors.

Hall H will continue, in its second successful year, to host over 150 greetings and stationery suppliers. From the trendy to the traditional, the wealth of choice in Hall H is guaranteed to facilitate buying for what is one of the most important product categories of the Christmas retail period.

Given its position, Home & Gift typically allows retailers to source their all-important Christmas stock and set themselves up for a more profitable Christmas. By providing exclusive show offers, suppliers are keen to reinforce and cultivate relationships that extend beyond this period too, enabling visitors to succeed despite tough market conditions.

After a day of buying, visitors are encouraged to take a break and enjoy the Harrogate surroundings. Social events will take place over the course of the show, meaning retailers can mix business with pleasure. The ever-popular Sunday Sundowners drinks will take place on 14 July from 5.30pm in the Majestic Hotel grounds.

VIP cardholders will also be able to take advantage of offers throughout the town including discounts at participating restaurants and attractions including Le Bistrot Pierre and So! Bar& Eats.
