Titchmarsh & Goodwin launches London showroom

Titchmarsh & Goodwin, purveyors of handcrafted fine English furniture, will open its London flagship showroom on 21st November. Located in Chelsea’s King’s Road, the showroom will welcome customers to view a selection of striking handcrafted furniture from Titchmarsh & Goodwin's new modern ranges and established collections.

History and heritage is synonymous with Titchmarsh & Goodwin, whose roots date back to the eighteenth century. Recognised for authentic English craftsmanship and fine detailing in each and every piece, the showroom is set to reflect the company's quality, luxury, innovation and inspiration. Alongside that history is a new collection of modern, classic pieces using traditional methods but with up to date designs.

Visitors can expect to discover carefully-curated room displays designed to showcase the beauty and intricacy of a diverse range. A wealth of pioneering new designs and finishes using luxury materials, such as Karelian Birch for an elegant and classical bedroom suite, to a large bespoke Burr Walnut cabinet that combines carefully-selected veneers and an intricate marquetry panel to a native Oak Quercus Robur dresser, which is prized for its strong figuration and varied colours.

“Focusing on the natural colouring and figuration of the timbers, we have created handcrafted designs which present the evolution of the Titchmarsh & Goodwin portfolio,” says Jamie Cooper, MD and chief designer.

The flagship store is set over three floors and features the company's latest eye-catching designs alongside an impressive English oak panelled lounging area and a unique design studio where a superior design and architectural service will be offered in-house.

To accompany and enhance its new venture, Titchmarsh & Goodwin has also collaborated with a host of internationally-acclaimed designers and leading interiors specialists, including, Lelievre, Wendy Cushing Passementerie, Watts of Westminster for bespoke fabrics, wallpapers and trimmings, Christopher Hyde Prestige and David Wilkinson for the lighting and atmospheric ambience and the Belgravia Gallery to adorn the walls with an exclusive range of art works – signed pieces by HRH The Prince of Wales and also Nelson Mandela.

Philip Johnson, creative director, says: "Our team is delighted to be working with such a fantastic collection of long established and highly regarded luxury brands. They will perfectly complement our handmade bespoke furnishings and by using our in-house interior design and architectural service, they will help us to turn our clients' dreams into a beautiful reality."
