May Design Series embraces AV content

May Design Series and CEDIA (the Custom Electronic Design & Installation Association) have collaborated to create a new audio visual and home automation event at next year’s May Design Series event.

Responding to industry demand, this exclusive relationship will connect manufacturers, suppliers and installers from the home automation industry with retailers, architects and interior designers. Making an exclusive appearance at May Design Series as part of the new event include audio visual brands Savant Europe, Habitech and Face to Face Digital.

Andy Atwell, European sales director at Savant Europe, says: “Positive feedback from our customers and peers about May Design Series shows means we at Savant Europe looking forward to exhibiting, and are excited about the opportunity to that showcase our home automation system to the illustrious list of attendees.”

Jonathan Pengilley, MD of Habitech, adds: “We are making the investment in May Design Series because we have a range of products that can change the way interior designers think about technology. It gives us the opportunity to explore the mutual benefits enshrined by the flawless integration of technology with room design.”

CEDIA is an impartial, not-for-profit trade association helping manufacturers and installers work together to promote home automation worldwide. CEDIA will provide relevant information to visitors and will help put them in contact with exhibitors at the show. There will also be an educational seminar stream for interior designers to attend and gain CPD points.

“May Design Series is a great opportunity for us to meet interior designers and communicate the message of how home automation and design go hand in hand,” comments Wendy Griffiths, executive director of CEDIA. “The seminar session will allow us to provide design professionals an insight into our industry. We look forward to a successful show in May.”

Suzie Ager, brand director at May Design Series, adds: “We are thrilled to be working with this industry-renowned association to drive profitability in this growing market. Intelligent homes are increasingly part of everyday life, and May Design Series is the perfect platform for this to sit aside, tapping into our existing visitor base as well as attracting new faces.”

May Design Series will take place from 17-19th May 2015 at ExCeL London. The 2015 event will be the first full-scale outing of the international furnishings fair.
