Owner of the Long Eaton-based Wade Upholstery, JDP Furniture Group, has bolstered its team with two new appointments. Chris Welbourn joins as operations director, reporting to Simon Wade and running production across Wade, Cintique and Parker & Farr. He joins from an aerospace and automotive engineering background and will be working with the production teams to harness the company’s upholstery skills whilst embracing lean manufacturing processes and encouraging efficiency.
The second new appointment is that of John Lawson, who has been appointed finance director and is working alongside outgoing finance director David Garner prior to the latter’s retirement. John has a similar background to Chris Welbourn, and joins from Abacus Lighting. Based in Long Eaton, John will be developing systems and tightening accounting processes across the three brands.
Wade will launch a new relaxed living collection at the January Furniture Show this month.
