The Sleep Council lends support to new sleep show

The National Bed Federation (NBF) and The Sleep Council have been invited to be official partners for the UK’s first show dedicated to sleep health, Somnex – The Sleep Show.

Taking place at London’s Old Truman Brewery from 12-14th October 2018, Somnex will offer visitors expert advice, innovative new products and interactive experiences to help even the most troubled sleepers learn how to get a better night’s rest.

Lisa Artis of The Sleep Council says: “We were delighted to be invited to participate in the first-ever sleep show in the UK as a strategic partner and to also sit on the advisory panel. As part of the seminar programme, both the NBF and The Sleep Council are guest speakers on the consumer days. I’ll be talking about creating the perfect bedroom environment while my colleague Simon Williams will be giving lots of practical advice about how to choose the right bed.”

Professor Jason Ellis from the Department of Psychology at Northumbria University will present a keynote address on the trade day (12th October) on behalf of The Sleep Council. It will focus on its partnership research, The Healthy Sleep Project, which looks at how quickly people fall asleep (sleep latency) and how that indicates overall sleep health.
