Hypnos signs Armed Forces Covenant

British bed manufacturer Hypnos has formally signed the Armed Forces Covenant at an event attended by senior figures at the company’s Princes Risborough showroom.

As part of Hypnos’ commitment, the company has pledged to take a flexible approach to recruitment that recognises the unique experiences and skills of those involved in the Armed Forces community, as part of the company's wider approach to supporting both the Princes Risborough and Castle Donington communities in which it operates.

The signing was attended by air commodore, Alan Opie, assistant chief of staff delivery at the Royal Air Force, and Chris Ward, Hypnos' group marketing director.

Chris says: “We are extremely proud to sign the Armed Forces Covenant and to recognise the unique experience of the Armed Forces community. As a family-run business with family values at its core, we feel that we have a moral obligation to support members of the Armed Forces, together with their families. We also respect the significant transferable skills that a career in the Armed Forces provides, particularly in the area of leadership and teamwork. We want to take a flexible approach to recruitment that provides veterans, Reservists and cadets with ongoing opportunities that utilises these skills.”
