Bazaar appoints new business development manager

British soft-seating manufacturer Bazaar Group has appointed a new business development manager to support its growing B2B arm.

Jen Hannant will oversee client-relationship management and tracking new business for Bazaar's Eden Learning Spaces and Ayla brands.

Ayla, which was launched at this year's January Furniture Show, is the company’s first exclusively in-store retail offering, while Eden Learning Spaces is a successful educational soft furnishings brand.

Jen, who comes from a home improvement and wholesale retail background, says: “It’s a very busy time as the new Eden is finalising new ranges for 2020 and Ayla is, in a sense, a brand new company. A large part of my role is getting out there, getting the brand known and showing how we can offer full support for new stockist partners. Ayla is a quality, well-designed range, so that’s half the battle, but it’s also about communicating the benefits it offers to retailers.

“As these pieces don’t take up much floorspace, they can be easily used alongside other furniture, or moved around for different instore and window displays, so this offers the chance to add incremental sales. A retailer can still have their bestselling sofas, but by offering additional, smaller pieces alongside, they will also be attractive to an audience currently seeking attractive, small-space solutions online.”
