BFM advises on creating safer working environments

The British Furniture Manufacturers (BFM) is signposting its Environmental, Health and Safety service, to ensure members have access to the latest information to provide Covid-19 secure environments.

Designed to help members keep their workers safe and their businesses compliant, the BFM’s Environmental, Health and Safety service – which is headed up by Alistair Bromhead – is one of the trade body’s most valued member benefits.

Nick Garratt, BFM’s MD, says: “Getting back to work presents challenges and a knowledgeable, helping hand can be highly valued at this time. We’ve been focusing our efforts to ensure the Environmental, Health and Safety service provides the latest information and support, to help our members get back to business as safely as possible.

“As well as infection prevention information, the service also includes areas such as restarting operations and recommissioning activity.

“Many of our members are likely to be reconfiguring the way they work, and it’s important that they seek advice after a prolonged period of lockdown.”

Features of the service include access to BFM’s online guidance, handbooks and downloadable templates.

Up-to-date advice through a free telephone helpline and individual on-site support at heavily discounted rates is also available. Members can also opt to receive monthly briefings.
