Scottish industry charity launches Covid-relief fund

The Scottish Furniture Trades Benevolent Association (SFTBA) has launched a £100,000 Covid-19 relief fund, through which the registered charity is offering personal support grants to those facing financial hardship due to the pandemic.

“The SFTBA supports those in our industry in Scotland and their immediate families who have experienced problems and are struggling to cope due to circumstances that have impacted on health and financial concerns,” says the charity’s president, David Amery.

David urges those in the trade to share news of this initiative with their staff and colleagues in Scotland, explaining that the charity recently issued grants for those in arrears with utility bills, council tax and rent, and for people needing help with the purchase of riser-recliner chairs, electric beds, cookers and fridges.
