Geko acquires established homewares brand

Homewares supplier Geko Products, based in Nottinghamshire, has acquired home and giftware supplier Scarthingwell Replicas.

Scarthingwell was founded in 1990 in Townton near York, and is a major supplier to wholesale customers across the UK.

Chris Cheetham, owner and MD of Geko Products, says: “Scarthingwell is a great fit with our business. It brings a wider range of products, including ceramics, umbrella stands, metal furniture and decorative hooks.

"We are really looking forward to working with existing Scarthingwell customers and offering them access to Geko products too, via our superb customer service team.”

Geko has launched a new Scarthingwell website to run alongside its existing offer, and Scarthingwell's trade showroom has now moved to Geko's head office in Nottinghamshire.

Geko reported YoY sales growth of +105% in 2020, and the growth has continued this year.

“The addition of Scarthingwell to our business has enabled us to offer a wide range of items to our growing customer base," Chris continues. "Geko are looking forward to working with Scarthingwell customers and providing them with at least a further 30 years of service."
