Furniture exhibitions have been thin on the ground this year, but the unique layout of Long Eaton's (typically) biannual showcase enables it to be the trade's first collective presentation since lockdown was imposed back in March.
Open to the general trade, and taking place within various showrooms (permanent and temporary) across the Derbyshire town, Autumn Long Point will run from 21st-23rd September 2020, during which a well-established line-up of some of Britain's most accomplished upholstery manufacturers – plus various others – will present their latest offers within well-dressed settings.
In all, the show promises 20 displays across seven locations.
Exhibitors include Artistic Upholstery, Alexander & James, Ashley Manor, Carlton Furniture, Collins & Hayes, David Gundry Upholstery, Duresta, Gascoigne Designs, Hunter Knight Upholstery, Iain James Furniture, John Sankey, Orbital, Parker Knoll, Siren, Steed Upholstery, Westbridge and Wiemann.
In addition, several new exhibitors can be found at Harrington Mill – Tetrad, Spink & Edgar Upholstery, and The Art Group (Pyramid).
Every location promises to be Covid-19 compliant, with improved parking facilities at Orbital's building (The Exchange) on Leopold Street. Visitors to Parker Knoll, Duresta, Collins & Hayes and John Sankey should arrange an appointment prior to visiting, to ensure social distancing guidelines are maintained.
Andrew Mitchell, chair of the Long Eaton Guild of Furniture Manufacturers and MD of Artistic Upholstery, says: "We are all looking forward to showcasing new products and seeing our customers again.
“Long Eaton is known throughout the globe as the centre of excellence in upholstery manufacture. The presence of our guests – many now in permanent showrooms – makes this the ideal location for buyers at all levels to come and enjoy some of the most exciting furniture displays in the country.
"A warm and friendly welcome awaits you at all locations, and I hope you have an enjoyable and productive visit.”
