Big Shots fundraiser returns for 28th year

Big Shots, the furnishing industry’s popular clay pigeon shoot, organised in aid of industry charity The Furniture Makers’ Company, returns this summer.

The fundraiser, which is now in its 28th year, is once again taking place at Holland and Holland, Middlesex, one of the UK’s premier shooting destinations, on Wednesday 7th June.

The day will commence with breakfast. After a safety briefing, the 100-bird shooting competition will start with the firing of the cannon, with teams then making their way around 10 stands set in the estate’s 60 acres of open countryside.

In addition to the traditional shooting stands, there will be some novelty stands, including flash clays and an eight straight stand.

After the clay pigeon competition, there will be prizes, a raffle and charity auction, following a three-course lunch with wine.

Suitable for novice and experienced shooters alike, Big Shots is perfect for entertaining clients or suppliers, team-building days for colleagues, or a day out with friends, says The Furniture Makers’ Company.

Big Shots is once again being sponsored by Furniture Village and organised with the support of MD Charlie Harrison, who says: “We’re thoroughly proud to be a main sponsor again at this year’s Big Shots, it’s a fantastic day out and it will be great to welcome many familiar and new faces along on the day. The most important thing, though, is it’s all for such a worthy cause, and we’re very privileged to support in every way we can.”

Jonny Westbrooke, CEO of The Furniture Makers’ Company, adds: “Big Shots is a highlight in the furnishing industry’s calendar and, as always, we’d like to thank Furniture Village, the event’s principal sponsor, for their support in making the event possible. Big Shots raises vital funds for out charity, and we look forward to welcoming new and returning teams to Holland and Holland this summer.”
