The spring edition of CIFF (China International Furniture Fair), the world’s largest furniture exhibition and a key Asian business platform, will be held in Guangzhou, and divided into two phases according to product sector – the first runs from 18th-21st March, the second from 28th-31st March.
The 41st edition of the event will provide the opportunity to visit 4000 exhibitors who, spread out over 750,000 sqm, will offer solutions across the home decor spectrum, and anticipates some 190,000 visitors.
The first phase will offer both classic and modern home furniture, decor and textiles, plus outdoor and leisure furniture – while the second will present office, commercial and hotel furniture, plus furniture machinery and raw materials for the furniture industry. In order to assist international buyers, the living and dining areas will be combined, as will upholstered items and mattresses.
According to the latest figures published by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People’s Republic of China, the value of furniture manufacturing exports from January to August 2017 saw an annual increase of +6.2%.
Canton (Guangzhou) is the largest coastal city in South China, and the third largest city in the country, after Beijing and Shanghai. As the capital of the Guangdong Province, it is a flourishing commercial centre, and lies just a few kilometers from Hong Kong.
