Messe Frankfurt’s Ecostyle trade fair, which takes place between 24-26th August 2013 alongside the Tendence exhibition, will be the first information and order platform for verifiably sustainable consumer goods in the European retail sector. Each registration is evaluated by a specialist advisory council under five criteria – minimal ecological footprint, high level of product quality, efficient use of materials and energy, positive social and cultural impact and outstanding transparency.
The advisory council has now chosen the first exhibitors from a large number of applicants. They include Kahla, one of Europe’s leading porcelain manufacturers, Werkhaus, a manufacturer of eco-friendly office, household and children’s furniture, and 959, the Italian brand designed by Paolo Ferrari, that creates bags and handbags from used seatbelts.
Ecostyle will be accompanied by a presentation and seminar programme.
