Have you considered sourcing Serbian?

Ranked among the best furniture shows in south-east Europe, Belgrade’s furniture fair offers visitors a comprehensive sourcing destination, comprising furniture, furnishings and manufacturing machinery. The 57th International Fair of Furniture, Equipment and Interior Decoration will take place between 5-10th November at Belgrade Fair, and promises to be a notch above what has gone before …

This year’s fair will put its exhibitors’ design achievements in the foreground, in an attempt to demonstrate their capabilities in all aspects of modern design – and, in turn, open new markets.

As well as taking new conceptual and organisational directions, the event will facilitate the attendance of customers from across the world, providing direct contact with domestic furniture manufacturers – many of which typically offer exclusive show discounts.

Presenting a mix of domestic producers and international brands, the show aims to address demand for every size, shape and function of furniture, including bespoke designs (from classic to luxury), in a variety of colours and materials.

The best designs will be identified by a team of international experts, who will present the Golden Key awards – while the Exhibition of Young Design Engineers will give the region’s most successful designers and artists a platform from which to present their products, concepts and ideas in the fields of home furniture, lighting and accessories.

Meanwhile, the popular Design Talks will present eminent speakers from across Europe, as well as key local players.

Running parallel to the event, from 5-9th November, the 57th International Fair of Machinery & Tools for the Wood Industry will feature the latest in production materials and woodworking machines for the furniture industry. Here, cutting-edge solutions, as well as aesthetic, economical and practical ones, will suggest new opportunities for arranging living and work spaces, and will show how the region’s wood and design industries are developing.

Serbia’s timber industry boasts a number of advantages, including a high-quality raw material base, conserved natural resources, a large number of skilled workers and a geographical position that enables fast delivery. As far as foreign investment is concerned, Serbia is an attractive prospect for many, with a large proportion of its solid wood product output sold for export.

To encourage more effective business arrangements before and during the fair, a B2B business portal has been set up which will enable prospective visitors to register and interact with the show’s exhibitors – just follow the link to find out more.
