As the global furniture industry enters another year of rapid transformation, professionals are once again turning their attention to Poznań, home to Meble Polska, one of Europe’s most influential sourcing platforms for furniture buyers …
The 2026 edition, taking place from 24–27th February, is set to further strengthen the fair’s position as a business-focused hub where retailers, wholesalers and buying groups shape their strategies for the upcoming season.
Over the past decade, Meble Polska has evolved from a strong regional fair into a key international meeting point that consistently attracts visitors from all over the world. Last year, representatives from 71 countries attended, with international buyers accounting for some 58% of all visitors. This expanding global reach underscores the fair’s role as a strategic waypoint in the sourcing cycle, at a time when retailers are finalising assortment plans and seeking reliable partners for the new season.
What continues to set the show apart is its unambiguous orientation towards business. While many European trade fairs combine brand-building with contract negotiations, the Poznań event remains firmly a transactional marketplace. Exhibitors regularly report signing high-value agreements during the fair, while buyers emphasise the efficiency of meeting carefully selected, export-oriented manufacturers face to face, states show organiser MTP Group.
Last year, the fair welcomed over 15,000 professionals – primarily representatives of retail chains, distributors and major buying groups, ensuring that discussions translated directly into purchasing decisions.
A cornerstone of the fair’s success is its comprehensive overview of the Polish furniture industry, one of the world’s leading export powers. The 2026 edition will once again host close to 400 companies across 11 exhibition halls, presenting a full spectrum of upholstered and cabinet furniture, mattresses, tables, chairs and accessories. This extensive selection enables buyers to review both large-scale collections and niche offerings in a single, well-structured environment, and the growing presence of international exhibitors further reinforces the event’s global character.
In 2026, MTP Group is placing particular emphasis on the continued development of the Hosted Buyers Programme, an initiative that has long attracted senior purchasing decision-makers from some of the world’s largest retail chains. Logistical support before and during the event, along with dedicated meeting areas, ensures participants can make the most of their time in Poznań – many buyers note that this structure enables negotiations that would otherwise require months of travel and co-ordination.
Beyond formal business meetings, the fair also provides opportunities for informal exchange. Events such as the Get-Together Party encourage cross-market interaction and create space for building relationships in a more relaxed atmosphere. In recent years, these informal moments have often led to valuable new business collaborations.
The timing of the fair – the final week of February – is another advantage, aligning with the industry’s wider purchasing calendar. As one the first major furniture-contracting events in Europe each year, Meble Polska offers buyers timely access to new collections, while Poznań’s accessibility, supported by LOT Polish Airlines discounts for registered participants, further contributes to strong international attendance.
“Registration for professional visitors is now open,” concludes the fair organiser. “Buyers, distributors and retail chain representatives are encouraged to secure their place early and take advantage of the free professional ticket, available only until the end of January. Early registration ensures smooth entry to Europe’s most strategic furniture sourcing event – an unmatched opportunity to meet reliable suppliers, explore new collections, and prepare purchasing plans for the year ahead.”
