From 16-19th September, buyers are invited to the Autumn Long Point exhibition, held in the showrooms and factories of Long Eaton, Derbyshire. Led by the Long Eaton Guild of Furniture Manufacturers, the show is a crucial pre-Christmas sourcing platform for higher-end furniture retailers.
Long Eaton is the proud home to over 30 furniture factories, making it one of the the most important high-end upholstery centres in the UK. It has been this way for decades, recognised by the many manufacturers that exhibit as a guest of the town during Long Point.
Long Point takes place over a number of sites across the town, with courtesy cars available to convey visitors between venues and local transport hubs, and several free parking facilities.
Visitors will have the chance to view exhibitors’ latest ranges – the show is particularly notable for the guild members’ upmarket fabric upholstery – in a friendly, relaxed environment, across a mixture of modern buildings, workshops and traditional mills. A full selection of over 35 exhibitors will be present, including well-known names such as Ashley Manor, Contempo, Duresta, Parker & Farr, Parker Knoll and Wade Upholstery.
This year’s exhibitors also include British upholstery manufacturer Cintique, which will be displaying its two latest collections alongside existing top-selling models with new fabrics, and Iain James Furniture, which will present a stylish, timeless collection of burr walnut and mahogany furniture, alongside striking art deco pieces.
In addition, Rowico will exhibit its time-worn furniture collections which combine contemporary design and traditional craftsmanship, and Wade Upholstery will display four striking new models and fabric collections that embody design, comfort, high quality and value.
Guests can enjoy a special rate at the nearby Risley Hall Hotel courtesy of the guild, and should contact the organiser to find out more.
