Long Point is coming back to town

From 15-17th September, the historic upholstery town of Long Eaton, Derbyshire, will once again welcome the furniture trade for trade-only furniture exhibition, Autumn Long Point …

Hosted by the Long Eaton Guild of Furniture Manufacturers, the event unites 33 manufacturers and suppliers, including the guild’s members and associate members, for a three-day celebration of British craftsmanship, innovation and design.

Across the exhibition, visitors will discover a diverse selection of furniture to suit every style and setting. From handcrafted upholstery in both contemporary and classic designs, to finely made cabinet and bedroom furniture in rich natural woods and striking modern finishes, the show promises something for every buyer.

“Together, these collections showcase the depth and breadth of design talent in the UK furniture industry, all gathered under one town’s historic roof,” states the show’s host.

Held twice a year for over 50 years, Long Point transforms many of Long Eaton’s well-preserved former lace mills into stylish, atmospheric showrooms. These historic spaces now house some of the finest examples of UK-made upholstery, cabinet furniture, bedroom ranges, and accessories.

All show locations are within a mile of the town centre and railway station, with a meet-and-greet service available for visitors travelling by train (book in advance via 0115 973 4481).

This edition’s exhibitor highlights include Baker Furniture, which will debut its new showroom at Harrington Mill (ground floor), where it will present the Arthouse collection, a bold fusion of cabinet furniture, luxurious upholstery, and distinctive occasional pieces.

In the Wade Business Centre, Hartmann will introduce its Linea collection in solid natural oak with unique waterfall-effect glazing, plus the Audra range in beech and birch lacquer, offering a fresh take on modern living (read more on p54).

Abode will launch the Abode Sofa Collection, handcrafted in Europe with a 6–8 week lead time, alongside the new IL bedroom, LP dining and Living ranges, and a curated range of occasional pieces – while Artistic Upholstery will showcase its new Hector fixed-seat-and-back chair, a retro-inspired design with decorative piping, complementing a wider selection of stylish upholstery.

Known for its natural wood furniture offer, Bluebone will display new solid oak ranges, reclaimed teak Mammoth mirrors, Norfolk Weathered Pine refectory tables, Hardwick extending tables, and Lille cabinets in smoked oak with rattan panels.

G Plan will unveil its new Ergoform chair range, with swivel, glide, rocking motion, and heated seat options, while Parker Knoll will present redefined models with the latest tech features, including Power Plus options and heated seating.

Siren will present its latest mid-century-inspired handcrafted upholstery, including FSC-certified modular sofas, and accent chairs in premium fabrics, while Iain James Furniture will launch a large burr oak media wall unit with bespoke options, alongside a rich collection of English-made cabinet furniture and occasional tables in burr elm.

Couch & Co plans to debut a new upholstery collection focused on quality, comfort and versatility, plus expanded recliner options with new models and features, while Tetrad will showcase a curated mix of new and bestselling collections, including its Spink & Edgar ranges, iconic Tetrad styles, and fresh fabrics.

David Gundry Fine Furniture will present its full collection plus successful new models launched in May this year, and Stella will launch 10 new ranges, introducing innovative designs “set to make a major impact in the industry”.

Gascoigne Designs will display its extensive range of traditionally handcrafted furnishings in a diverse range of styles, while Steed Upholstery will present new fabrics and designs from its showroom on Bonsall Street.

Meanwhile, At The Helm and Hydeline will present their biggest autumn launch this September. At The Helm offers everything from classic chesterfields to cosy modern designs, styled with elegant cabinetry and lighting, while Hydeline promises motion recliners inspired by British heritage and relaxed modern styles, available in premium leathers and fabrics (find out more overleaf).

Extending the show dates, some exhibitors will also open their showrooms by appointment on Thursday 18thSeptember – full details are available on the guild’s website and socials.

“Whether you’re seeking to refresh your in-store collections, source stand-out pieces or discover the latest trends in British furniture design, Autumn Long Point 2025 offers an unmissable opportunity to see the very best the industry has to offer – all in the town that remains the home of UK upholstery manufacturing,” the show organiser concludes.
