Long Point leads the way to fine upholstery and cabinet

From 14-16th May, furniture showrooms across the historical manufacturing town of Long Eaton in Derbyshire will open their doors to the trade for the spring Long Point exhibition

Presenting the latest from the members of organising body the Long Eaton Guild of Furniture Manufacturers, plus notable guest exhibitors and established on-site showrooms, Long Point is a unique, intimate setting in which to see new launches and bestsellers, and a valuable touchpoint for retailers ahead of the summer and autumn shows.

Guild chairman – and MD of guild member Artistic Upholstery – Andrew Mitchell comments: “Long Eaton is known throughout the globe as the centre of excellence in upholstery manufacture. The presence of our guests – many now in permanent showrooms – makes this the ideal location for buyers at all levels to come and enjoy some of the most exciting furniture displays in the country.”

The 20 exhibitors include Alexander & James, Duresta, Iain James Furniture, Cintique, John Sankey, Siren Furniture, Westbridge, Wiemann Parker Knoll and Collins & Hayes.

Although the bulk of the show takes place in Harrington Mill, courtesy transport is available between all locations and hotels for those travelling via East Midlands Airport and Long Eaton Railway Station – while preferred rates have been negotiated with Novotel for anyone wishing to stay overnight. Visitors wishing to avail of these services should contact any guild member with their requirements.

“A warm and friendly welcome awaits you at all locations, and I hope you have an enjoyable and productive visit,” concludes Andrew.
