Following a five-year hiatus, Manchester Furniture Show (MFS) is set to return to Manchester Central from 10-11th July this year.
As the UK's second-biggest furniture show, having run for over 27 years, MFS promises to provide the industry with a one-stop shop for summer sourcing, says organiser Clarion Events, which also delivers the January Furniture Show, among other fairs.
Retailers will have an opportunity to "recharge their collections" with over 25,000 products, and reconnect with more than 100 exhibiting manufacturers and suppliers. Businesses already set to exhibit include Blue Bone Imports, Cowthorpe Oak Furniture, Creation Italia/Incanto, Heritage Furniture, Kettle Home, La-Z-Boy, Lebus Upholstery and Mini Divani, while buyers from the likes of Argos, Bensons for Beds, British Garden Centres, DFS, Dunelm, Furniture Village, Habitat, Homebase, Marks & Spencer, Next, Oliver Bonas, The Very Group and Wayfair have signalled their intent to attend.
Housing Units' Jeff Hughes comments: "The Manchester show is a no-brainer for us and we’re glad it’s back, as buying for us is a 365-day affair, not seasonal in any way."
Following on from its JFS debut, the Product Focus will offer exhibitors cost-effective opportunities, while the VIP Hosted Buyers Programme will target key Irish and Scottish buyers. There will also be extended opening hours to maximise order-taking opportunities across the two days.
MFS is about networking as well as sourcing. Known as the industry’s most sociable trade show, the MFS Summer Solstice Party and Women in Furniture Network brunch promise to be opportunities not to be missed, both offering visitors and exhibitors alike the chance to connect and meet in a relaxed and vibrant setting.
Zoe Bonser, Clarion Retail’s portfolio director, says: "The team are very excited to return to Manchester for this much-beloved show. As a key show in the industry calendar, MFS will once again be the hottest summer show, with top brands on hand to help inject new life into retailers' collections. We can’t wait to open the doors once again at Manchester Central, and we look forward to seeing you all there!"
