After a one-year hiatus, international furniture-buying event Meble Polska is set to return to Poznań from 22nd-25th February 2022.
For several months, organiser Grupa MTP has seen growing interest from would-be participants, bolstering its traditional complement of leading furniture manufacturers from Poland and attending buyers from around the world.
"We are still accepting applications from manufacturers interested in participating in the Poznań furniture contracting event. We recommend that you do not delay your decision much more, as the exhibition space available in the halls is currently very limited," says the show's director, Józef Szyszka.
The furniture exhibition will be complemented by the Home Decor fair, showcasing the latest trends in decoration, fabrics, lighting and kitchen and bathroom equipment.
However, Arena Design will not take place in 2022. "This year we are focusing on contracting. By moving Arena Design to the following year, we have gained more space for furniture exhibitors," explains Józef.
According to Grupa MTP, ensuring the safety of exhibitors, visitors and employees at the upcoming edition is of utmost importance, and all possible safety precautions in line with government recommendations have been taken.
"As discussed with the representatives of key foreign purchasing groups, they expect us to take additional measures to ensure the safety of trade fair participants. Therefore, we have decided to introduce access restrictions similar to those in force at other foreign furniture fair events," says Józef – only vaccinated, recovered and tested people will be admitted.
“We believe that by implementing these regulations we will be able to ensure that the fair is safe for its participants, and that many furniture traders from abroad, who determine their participation in Poznań by such measures, will also come to Poznań," added Józef.
Meble Polska is the world's largest showcase of Polish furniture. The last edition, held in February 2020, just before the outbreak of the pandemic, was attended by more than 22,000 people from 69 countries, says Grupa MTP, and 38% of its visitors attended from abroad.
