The National Bed Federation (NBF) has announced the eight categories for its 2026 Bed Industry Awards, which aim to honour the brightest and best enterprises across bed manufacturing, supplying and retail.
The awards highlight the best in performance, inspiration, innovation and design among NBF member manufacturers, suppliers, and retailers that primarily stock NBF-approved member brands. Entry is free, and all submissions must be made online via the Bed Show website.
The Small NBF Retail Champion of the Year category is open to retailers with one or two stores, while retailers with 3-20 stores are encouraged to enter Medium NBF Retail Champion of the Year. These awards are open to retailers who are part of the NBF’s Retail Champions Scheme, which supports businesses whose product offer is from at least 50% NBF-approved member brands.
Businesses with more than 20 stores should enter the National Bed Retailer of the Year, and those where at least 80% of the sales are transacted via the internet should enter the Online Bed Retailer of the Year.
The Bed Manufacturer of the Year and Supplier of the Year Awards are open to NBF members, and recognise the outstanding achievements and innovations at a company level.
Bed Product of the Year includes mattresses, headboards, frames and sofabeds, while Component Product of the Year is awarded to the supplier with the most innovative component product or machine used in manufacturing a finished product.
The NBF will publish a shortlist before announcing all the winners at the Bed Show gala dinner and awards ceremony on Tuesday, 22nd September in Telford.
Detailed information on all the awards, including entry guidelines and deadlines, is available on the Bed Show website. Deadlines vary by award, starting on Monday, 3rd August.
