New exhibitors enrich international textile showcase

The 29th edition of Proposte will take place at Villa Erba, Cernobbio, Italy from 26-28th April, and the show's organiser states that 69 exhibitors are lined up to take part – nine more than last year.

Four of these businesses are newcomers, while the others have decided to return to the show after an absence.

The international exhibitor presence is significant, with 40 foreign participants and 29 Italian companies taking part.

Proposte's organiser says the new entries are evidence of the show's relevance for global producers of high-end textiles.

"After two years of the pandemic, the world has not yet returned to pre-Covid time, and the Russian-Ukrainian war is now increasing concerns on the human and social front," says Proposte's president, Piercarlo Viganò. "Yet, compared to the gloomiest months of 2020 and 2021, the situation in our industry seems to be going back to normality, and travelling and business are increasingly becoming part of our daily life again. Let’s hope that there will be no turning back."

The show promises several special projects and installations at this year's event, alongside Proposte's digital counterpart.
