John Doe of Diss, a prominent independent furniture retailer in Norfolk, has announced its upcoming charity golf day in aid of The Furniture Makers' Company, the City of London livery company and charity for the furnishing industry.
The 18-hole competition, which is the second that the retailer has organised to raise funds and awareness for the industry charity, is taking place on Friday 21st June 2024 at Diss Golf Club.
The charity golf day invites participants to enter teams of four, with singles and doubles also warmly welcomed. Competitors will be categorised into retailers, suppliers, and guests, with prizes for both individuals and teams, including nearest pins, longest drives, and various other competitions.
Edward Doe, director of John Doe of Diss, says: "This is an incredible opportunity to bring our community together in support of a meaningful cause. Whether you're hitting the green or supporting from the sidelines, every contribution makes a difference.
“Even for those unable to attend, there are ample opportunities to contribute through sponsorship, raffle donations, or one-off contributions, all of which will significantly bolster the event's success.”
The entry fee for the charity golf day is £70 per person, which will include a breakfast on arrival, a buffet lunch, and an array of prizes and charity raffle.
