Soft furnishings focus at Furniture China

This year sees the 20th anniversary of Furniture China – through 19 years of growth and development, the Shanghai show has become one of the greatest and most influential furniture exhibitions in the world. Since 2012 it has been well on its way to becoming a design-oriented trade show – and is set to move further along this path this September.

Interior & Accessories China, one of the theme shows for the 20th Furniture China, will debut in hall 4 of the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Centre (SWEECC) this year, concurrently with the main event taking place between 10-13th September.

Described as an extended but independent exhibition, Interior & Accessories China will focus on presenting home furnishings to buyers seeking home decor and household accessories.

Interior & Accessories China is split into two phases, with two distinct events taking place in April and September – the September show will focus on the home furnishing industry, whereas the April show will feature products for commercial hospitality and leisure spaces. The exhibits are divided into six sectors – Bedding, Wallpaper, Decorative Fabrics, Window Decoration, Upholstered Furniture and Overall Home Furnishing products.

The soft furnishings sector is one of the largest product growth areas, and is inextricably linked to the furniture trade. In Shanghai – perhaps the most dynamic city in China, boasting many elite designers – the soft furnishings industry thrives, and it makes much sense to include such a trend-leading product sector within the Furniture China event. Every year, more than 3000 enterprises from over 20 countries exhibit at this pivotal trading platform – the show’s organsier is hoping the synergy with Interior & Accessories China pays off for everyone involved.
