Tendence to present attractive products for furnishing and decorating the home

As always at the end of the summer, collections for the autumn and winter season will be the main subject at the coming Tendence in Frankfurt am Main from 30 August to 2 September 2014. To ensure consumers have a wide-ranging assortment to choose from during the Christmas season, Tendence exhibitors focus on this busy time of year and present their latest products for the coming season.

Companies such as Kunstgewerbe Gehlmann from Reken will be showing at Tendence what assortments are likely to look like in the spring of 2015. Their primary targets include specialist markets, department stores and the wholesale and import / export trades. “Tendence is an important platform for presenting our spring and summer collection for the following year. At no other fair in Germany can we reach our European key accounts and retailers so effectively as at Tendence," says CEO Christian Gehlmann.

Tendence is the ideal order venue for the winter and Christmas season and the coming spring whereby the focus is unequivocally on Europe, especially East Europe and Scandinavia. In the Living section, renowned brands and key international players show their new products and long-sellers from the home, furnishing, decorating, wining and dining segments.

Both the established avant-garde and international newcomers show their ranges of design-oriented home accessories, furniture, luminaires and textiles at Loft in Hall 11.1. Among the companies that have already registered to take part are ASA Selection, Blomus, Glaskoch, Koziol, Jähn, Philippi, Reisenthel, Rosendahl, Seibel Designpartner, Sompex and Umbra.

The Interiors & Decoration product group in Halls 8.0 and 9.0 includes a selection of international furnishing ideas and home concepts with home accessories, home textiles and luminaires. Among the exhibitors showing their latest products in Hall 8.0 will be Exotica Cor Mulder, Greengate, Haans, Kare, Light & Living and WMG. In Hall 9.0, trade visitors will find exhibitors such as Eurofashion, Fink, Guaxs, Hamam, Lambert, Lampe Berger (FBB), Scholtissek and Steen Design. Hall 9.0 is also the location of the Talents Modern Craft area with new ideas from the field of contemporary arts & crafts. In the same hall, the exhibition of the form competition for artisan and industrial design presents new and innovatively designed products selected from the whole spectrum to be seen at Tendence.

Workshops under the motto ‘Window decoration live’ offer ideas and inspiration for in-shop and window displays, as well as important tips about visual merchandising. These workshops are aimed specifically at retailers and proved to be genuine visitor magnets at Tendence 2012 and 2013. In Hall 9.2, visitors can learn how to turn the shop window into a genuine attraction and an impressive signboard for the business. Another focus is on indoor product presentations. The workshops are run by visual merchandising trainer and author Karin Wahl.

In Galleria 0, visitors will find an exhibition of the winning products of the Home & Trend Award. In several different categories, the LifeCare Initiative presents the trend products of the year, which place the focus on quality, innovative functions and design. The Home & Trend Award is given for especially consumer-oriented products and concepts from the furnishing sector and is an orientation aid for the trade when it comes to placing orders.

Following last year’s successful premiere, Ecostyle will also be held concurrently with Tendence as a separate trade fair for sustainable consumer goods. On all four days of the fair, trade visitors have the opportunity to see and order environmentally-friendly lifestyle and design products in Hall 9.2, i.e., in the immediate vicinity of Tendence.

Tendence is the one of Europe’s most important order platforms for consumer goods in the second half of the year. The extensive range of products is relevant for all channels of distribution – for the retail trade, Tendence is the decisive order platform for the busy Christmas and winter business while bulk buyers can obtain an initial overview of new products for the coming spring and summer season, 2015. As in the past, the Ecostyle and Webchance fairs will be held concurrently with Tendence 2014.
