Following a successful Minerva May show, which reported record membership attendance, the decision was taken by the Minerva buying group to extend its October show at The International Centre, Telford, to cater for the furniture, carpet and flooring retail trade as a whole.
The current changes in the trade’s exhibition programme and feedback from exhibitors prompted Minerva to extend the show planned for October, which provides a strong platform for exhibitors to launch their new products for 2015 and to present their ranges in time for Christmas and New Year trade. Enthusiasm for the October show was endorsed by the group’s May event exhibitors, many of which immediately rebooked for the Autumn Furniture Show.
The show will feature more than 70 exhibitors from the furniture, carpet and flooring sectors, with a number of major furniture brands supporting the event. Building on Minerva’s alliance with buying group SMG, the show will feature 13 carpet and flooring suppliers, including Abingdon Flooring, Cormar, Forbo and Axminster.
Tuesday 7th October is reserved for Minerva/SMG members only, yet the following two days are open to the furniture retail trade in general. The show’s dedicated website provides comprehensive information, plus the facility to register online.
The Minerva team, which is managing the event, aims for the Autumn Furniture Show to become a major new fixture on the trade’s exhibition calendar.
