Organised by the National Bed Federation (NBF), the trade association for UK-based bed manufacturers and their suppliers, the Bed Show, taking place at The International Centre, Telford, is a must-attend event for anyone with an interest in the UK bed business.
British bed manufacturers and component suppliers - over 70 brands – from big industry names to small niche companies will present their latest innovations, offers, promotions and sales support for the UK market.
The event is tailored to retailers and specifiers interested in British-made mattresses divans, bedsteads, futons, headboards and bedding (pillows and toppers), as well as bed manufacturers and specifiers looking for tickings, springs, foam, fillings, bed machinery plus many other bed-related components.
Now in its sixth year, the show is widely recognised as the UK’s biggest bed-specific exhibition, attracting more than 1400 visitors last year. Only NBF members can exhibit at the show, which means visitors placing orders are investing in and supporting British manufacturing and British-made products. Since the introduction of the NBF’s independently-audited Code of Practice, buyers can buy with confidence knowing all the exhibitors are meeting their legal obligations and supplying products that are safe, clean and honest.
The NBF Gala Dinner, held on the evening of Tuesday 22nd September, and featuring the presentation of the annual NBF industry awards, will be hosted once again by broadcaster Gyles Brandreth. Featuring a drinks reception, dinner, awards ceremony and dancing, tickets are priced at £85.
Over the past five years, the annual awards have gathered momentum and are becoming increasingly valued by the industry, highlighting as they do the excellent work that is taking place every day in the sector.
Businesses are invited to enter for one of the five categories: Bed Manufacturer of the Year; Bed Component Supplier of the Year; Independent Bed Retailer of the Year; Multiple Bed Retailer of the Year; and Bed E-tailer of the Year. The awards will be judged by a six-strong panel that includes four key trade editors plus Bernard Eaton, MD of Greenwood Retail, and Jessica Alexander, executive director of the NBF.
Entry and on-site parking at Telford International Centre is free, and a central catering facility will offer free refreshments for visitors, sponsored by bedding manufacturer John Cotton. There is a wide choice of hotels nearby, and discounted rates are available for Bed Show visitors.
