The Tim Bloyce Memorial Cup, the five-a-side football tournament organised in aid of The Furniture Makers’ Company, the City of London livery company and charity for the furnishing industry, is back this summer.
The tournament, which has been running since 2013, will take place at the Lucozade Powerleague Football Centre, Coventry on Sunday 6th July, and The Furniture Makers’ Company looks forward to welcoming new and returning teams to the tournament, which is named in memory of Tim Bloyce, a lifelong football fan and former employee of event sponsor Ocee & Four Design, who passed away from Motor Neurone Disease (MND).
Kick-off is scheduled for 1:00pm, with the tournament starting with a group stage ensuring every team plays a minimum of three matches. Mixed-gender teams from offices, factories, showrooms, or groups of friends of all abilities are warmly encouraged to enter. The top teams from the groups will progress to knockout rounds, culminating in a final. The day will conclude with a BBQ buffet and prize-giving ceremony to celebrate the winning team.
