Improved retail confidence is supporting Clarion Events’ expansion plans. With over 40% growth in Home, a reinvigorated Top Drawer and the addition of premium makers’ event Craft, Clarion Events has created one of the UK’s biggest design-led events to kick off the buying season in January. Over 1000 selected exhibitors are taking over the entire Earls Court complex, and this expansion sees an increase in the presence of international brands, and overseas visitors from Europe’s biggest retail stores including Lane Crawford, La Rinascente and Williams Sonoma.
Top Drawer continues its proud tradition of showcasing the very best in design-led gift products. Joining a host of newcomers are established favourites with commercial appeal including Nkuku, Cubic, Lisbeth Dahl, Rice, Wild & Wolf, Jellycat, RJB Stone, Bombay Duck, Addject and many others.
Now in its third year, Home has doubled in size since its launch in 2012. The show has rapidly become the must-attend event for retailers and professionals seeking the best interiors and homewares across a spectrum of classic and contemporary styles. 2014 sees the significant expansion of the kitchen and dining area including the recruitment of international and UK brands including Guzzini, Mastrad, Sebastian Conran Universal Expert Collection and Sodastream. Buyers seeking high end interiors products will welcome the addition of Broste, Bloomingville, Eightmood and House Doctor.
Craft, a new trade show from Clarion Events, offers retailers, galleries and collectors a unique opportunity to see the work of 100 contemporary designer-makers working across a wide range of disciplines, from glass blowing and ceramics, to textile weaving and wood.
Launched by Piyush Suri, director of Handmade in Britain, and Ian Rudge, Founder of 100% Design and Tent London, Craft utilises a wealth of experience to produce a highly-curated showcase of commercially-appealing contemporary craft. Featured makers include: Jasmin Rowlandson, Anne Selby, Tessuti, Alex McCarthy, Norman Yap, Lesley Strickland, Aline Johnson and many more.
The combination of three cutting-edge, design-led events in one central London location presents UK and international retailers with the opportunity to start their buying season with the best offering for their stores. This will be a one-of-a-kind buying event that will put buyers in front of thousands of the world’s leading brands, at the perfect time of year.
Ian Rudge, brand director, comments: “Top Drawer, Home and Craft will be the biggest Spring event we have organised to date. With increasing retailer optimism and a stronger-than-ever exhibitor line-up, retailers should be in no doubt that a visit to Earls Court this January will be the perfect starting point to reinvigorate their stores for 2014."
