Women's networking group calendar outlined

Following a successful inaugural event in June, the Women In Furniture Network (WIFN) has announced three upcoming events across the UK.

Centred round empowering and celebrating women, WIFN aims to unite women from across the furniture and design industry to foster meaningful connections and gain invaluable insights.

On 25th October, WIFN will come to Birmingham for its Mentorship Matters event, at the Iron House art space. This event will focus on the importance of mentorship in professional growth, and will provide attendees with an opportunity to connect with experienced industry leaders.

"It's a golden opportunity for women in the furniture industry to find a mentor or become a mentor, as WIFN facilitates a platform that allows for effective networking, helping increase professional growth," states organiser Clarion Events.

Alongside networking, attendees will also hear from leadership, culture consultant and business coach, Cheryl Busby, whose expertise will not only highlight the importance of mentoring but also key career skills all women need.

Looking ahead to 2024, the furniture shows (January Furniture Show, Manchester Furniture Show) team behind WIFN will hold the third event on the afternoon of the 22nd January at the NEC during JFS, entitled Speed Networking Spectacle.

In keeping with WIFN’s theme of forging connections between women in the industry, this event promises to offer attendees "a fast-paced and dynamic environment" in which to make meaningful connections with peers, mentors and potential collaborators.

With the Manchester Furniture Show relaunching on 10-11th July 2024 at Manchester Central, WIFN will hosting its Leadership Unleashed event at the exhibition. On 11th July, this WIFN event will provide a space for visitors to explore and embrace their leadership potential, with speakers talking about their own career journey and offering tips on successful leadership.

"It's a key event that will inspire and equip visitors, encouraging them to succeed in the innovative and diverse furniture industry," states Clarion.

WIFN has also announced a new partnership with eBay. The marketplace is a key supporter of Clarion's furniture shows, having partnered with JFS earlier in the year. Alongside this, WIFN will continue to work with principal media partner Furniture News, which has been a long-time supporter of the events. Both share a dedication to promoting diversity, fostering growth, and creating opportunities for women in the furniture industry.
