The Young Furniture Makers exhibition returns to London on 9th October to offer industry visitors the opportunity to connect with young designer-makers looking to make an impact on the sector.
Organised by The Furniture Makers’ Company, the event promises some of the best furniture and furnishing design talent from GCSE students to young professionals. More than 100 designers from schools, colleges and universities, plus graduates from across the UK, will present work including furniture and lighting for the domestic and contract market.
The event, which is sponsored by Axminster Tools & Machinery and supported by the January Furniture Show and The Furniture Ombudsman, will take place on Wednesday 9th October (12pm-9pm) at Furniture Makers’ Hall and the Dutch Church in Austin Friars, London.
Dids Macdonald OBE, master of The Furniture Makers’ Company, will welcome guests from the furniture and design community at 7pm before a prize giving.
Jonny Westbrooke, CEO of The Furniture Makers’ Company, says: “The Young Furniture Makers exhibition is an extraordinary and unmissable celebration of talented young designer-makers, many of whom are in the early stages of their career and looking for employment. We encourage everyone to come and meet the future of design at the exhibition.”
