CIFF's first online show a success

The first online edition of CIFF Shanghai, which concluded on 14th December, saw 548 exhibitors attract some 775,043 visitors, reports the exhibition's organiser, which says that the virtual edition explored new approaches to the furniture fair using WeChat’s CIFF Shanghai Hongqiao applet, divided into four main sections – the Cloud Exhibition Hall, Cloud Live Broadcast, Cloud Negotiation and Cloud Activities.

This edition has shown how the online fair can deliver a strong performance, states the organiser – the 13 live presentations of new collections recorded over 10,000 views each, as well as over 100,000 hits on the first day.

Collaboration with foreign trade associations to promote new export agreements facilitated foreign trade – to date, five brands have received orders worth over $1m, says CIFF – and, during the four days of the fair, exhibitors and visitors were supported with free matchmaking services.

The (physical) 49th CIFF Guangzhou is set to take place from 18th-21st and 28th-31st March 2022.
