The two-day BFM Fabric Show London, held at Chelsea FC’s West Stand last month, was well attended by the UK upholstery industry and large furniture retail groups, reports the organiser.
The show offered 38 exhibitors from around the world, which presented a variety of high-grade upholstery fabrics and fabric treatments. Six new exhibitors joined the 2020 line-up – Antiprima and Aurim Home Décor from Italy, Audejas from Lithuania, Edinburgh Weavers from Scotland, Kacar Textile from Turkey and Morgan Fabrics from the US. Returning exhibitors from the UK, Belgium, Italy, Portugal, Spain and Turkey completed the roster, and were joined by some of the show’s sponsors including Aqua Clean, Orbital Vision and LTS (Lancashire Testing Services), which gave demonstrations and explanations of their systems and services.
Aqua Clean's James Lowe comments: “Aqua Clean had another very successful show at Chelsea this year. This show works every time, we are able to reach a great number of important and knowledgeable buyers in one go and show them our latest fabrics and fabric developments. Meeting our buyers face-to-face is essential, and we can do that here in a relaxed and comfortable environment. We will definitely be back next year.”
Commenting on his first show at the helm of the event, BFM MD Nick Garratt says: “I am delighted with the success of BFM Fabric Show London 2020. Both our exhibitors and visitors have praised the format, quality and presentation of this show, and despite some difficulties with dates, it has been very gratifying to see every space filled and plenty of BFM member companies coming through the door. Everyone I spoke to appreciates this event as the best opportunity to select premium fabrics from premium suppliers all under one roof in the UK. We are already planning the 2021 event.”
