The National Bed Federation (NBF) crowned its eight 2026 Bed Industry Awards winners on Tuesday 22nd September at the Bed Show awards ceremony and gala dinner in Telford.
Celebrity host Clare Balding announced winners across bed manufacturing, supplying and retailing. Judges across the furniture, business, sleep and sustainability sectors selected the winners from a shortlist of finalists comprising NBF members and UK bed retailers.
This year’s winners in the NBF member awards were: the Clover 3000 Wildwood mattress by Harrison Spinks for Bed Product of the Year; Serene Soft Foam by Carpenter for Component Product of the Year; Harrison Spinks for Bed Manufacturer of the Year; and John Cotton Nonwovens for Supplier of the Year.
Winners in the retail awards were Dreams for National Bed Retailer of the Year; MattressOnline for Online Bed Retailer of the Year; Prestige Beds for Medium NBF Retail Champion of the Year; and Dreamland for Small NBF Retail Champion of the Year.

Harrison Spinks clinched Bed Manufacturer of the Year for the third consecutive year. Despite challenging market conditions, the Leeds-based business continued to invest in its people, manufacturing and sustainable innovation. Highlights include achieving Soil Association Organic Certification for its 300-acre Yorkshire farm and launching a new wool-rich fabric, WoolKind, alongside FR chemical treatment-free products and innovative spring technology.
Strong retailer partnerships delivered significant growth for Harrison Spinks, while expansion into Europe reinforces its commitment to British craftsmanship and long-term growth.
The finalists were Adjust-A-Bed, which was highly commended, Silentnight and Sleepeezee.
John Cotton Nonwovens was awarded Supplier of the Year. The Yorkshire supplier placed sustainability and innovation at the heart of its business over the last year. It created the closed-loop Earthkind recycling system and its nonwoven products are now entirely made from post-consumer waste.
A £3.5m automation investment is improving efficiency, quality and working conditions, while new Memory Fibre offers a sustainable alternative to foam. Developing the UK’s first proprietary testing machine for adjustable mattresses and its support for leading manufacturers helped John Cotton Nonwovens win the title.
The finalists were Enkev UK and Spinks.
The judges for both company awards were Tony Attard OBE DL (BFC and Panaz Group), Michael Bodsworth (SATRA Technology), and Dr Ann Stevenson (Resource Futures and the Department for Environment Food and Rural Affairs).
Bed Product of the Year was awarded to Harrison Spinks for its Clover 3,000 Wildwood mattress. The judges comment: “Having listened to feedback from their retail partners, the winner has crafted an extremely comfortable and superb-looking mattress that delivers all the hallmarks of their core range but at a very commercial price point. Pound for pound, the stand-out entry and a worthy winner of Bed Product of the Year.”
The finalists were Adjust-A-Bed for its i-Motion bed with Premium Natural 3000 mattress and Dura Beds for its Grange House Natural Fusion Elevation 4000 mattress.
The judges were Steve Adams (MattressOnline), Sue Davies (Sue Davies Design Solutions), James Dunne (Prestige Beds), Paul Farley (Furniture News) and James Wilson (The Sleep Geek, Sleepunity).
Carpenter won the Component Product of the Year award for its Serene Soft Foam. Crafted with billions of microscopic air capsules, it is a true reflection of the next generation of fillings, said judges - commercially sound, with all the ecodesign principles in place and an outstanding marketing package accompanying it.
The finalists were John Cotton Nonwovens for its Memory Fibre Ultra, which was highly commended, and Spinks for its Micro Copper.
The judges were Natalie Goodwin (Sealy UK), Hayley Hodgson (Silentnight), David Morris (Sleepeezee) and Ross Yeardley (Healthbeds).
Dreams won National Bed Retailer of the Year for its strong commercial growth across the board, while investing in customers, staff, innovation and sustainability. The retailer expanded its retail footprint, deepened partnerships with NBF members and earned recognition for trust, value and service. Additional highlights include retaining its excellent 4.8 Trustpilot rating, introducing 24-hour delivery on selected products and becoming Official Sleep Partner of Team GB for the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Games.
The finalists were Bensons for Beds and DFS.
MattressOnline reclaimed its title of Online Bed Retailer of the Year. The Rotherham-based retailer saw healthy YoY increases in orders, units sold and revenue. It launched 68 new products - 73% of which are made by NBF-approved members - while maintaining a 4.8 Trustpilot rating.
MattressOnline’s community impact was another highlight from the past year, delivering almost 1,800 items to over 400 South Yorkshire families through its support for Baby Basics and tackling bed poverty. Significant focus on its website user experience enhancements, including a refined check-out procedure, helped cement its win.
The finalists were Land of Beds and MattressNextDay.
Dreamland scooped Small NBF Retail Champion of the Year for the second time. The Midlands retailer enjoyed its strongest performance across the board to date in its 50th year of business. A true NBF champion, Dreamland prides itself on ethical and honest trading, consumer education, sustainability and supporting British manufacturing, the judges say: “It offers exceptional customer service with 100% five-star reviews across all review platforms. The independent retailer is committed to developing not only its colleagues but also its comprehensive community impact strategy.”
The finalists were Linthorpe Beds, which was highly commended, Carters Bed City and Now to Bed.
Medium NBF Retail Champion of the Year was awarded to Prestige Beds, which enjoyed a year of strong commercial performance, strategic investment and continued community impact. The Lancashire retailer had a healthy uptick in profitability, with its fully refurbished Preston store enjoying a 23% increase in turnover. It ensures NBF values are explained to every customer, while all staff uniforms display the NBF Retail Champion logo. Further highlights include a fully rebuilt website and free mattress recycling for every order.
The finalists were Collingwood Batchellor, The M6 Bed Warehouse and World of Beds.
The retailer judges were Jessica Alexander (The Furniture Makers’ Company), Jarrod Bird (Interiors Monthly), Richard McMurrough (Propaganda), Dan Squires (Big Furniture Group) and James Winfield (Propaganda).
