Meble Polska's Special Edition, which took place online from 24-28th May, attracted 1000 participants from 44 countries and 54 exhibitors from eight countries, and generated more than 2600 video meetings, says event organiser Grupa MTP.
“We focused our promotional campaign on completely new markets," says show director says Józef Szyszka. "We wanted to reach furniture buyers who had not had a chance to visit the Poznań furniture fair before. We assumed that online meetings were a good opportunity for our exhibitors to find brand-new customers and expand their existing sales markets.”
The event proved eminently multinational, with foreign participants accounting for 55% of the total, and meetings attended by representatives of companies from 44 countries.
“We are particularly glad about the presence of trade representatives from such distant and important markets for the development of Polish furniture exports as Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Israel, Canada, Qatar, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Mexico, Mongolia, the US, Tunisia, Turkey and the UAE,” adds Józef.
The digital edition featured 54 companies, from Poland, Belarus, Denmark, Germany, Romania, the US, Turkey and Ukraine. Aside from furniture manufacturers, other exhibitors offered home furnishings, lighting and fabrics.
Online business meetings were supported by events broadcast on a virtual stage, which featured nearly 40 speakers and panelists from Poland and abroad over four days.
VIP visitors and exhibitors can still view the profiles of participants and contact each other via chat messages until 27th June. Both groups can also access the lectures recorded during the event.
