Around 100 companies visited the New London Fabric Show at Chelsea Football Club, Stamford Bridge, including manufacturers and retailers such as Alstons, Buoyant, Collins and Hayes, DFS, Duresta, Parker Knoll, John Sankey, Vale-Bridgecraft, David Linley, Wade Upholstery, Steinhoff, Next, John Lewis, Henderson Russell, Lebus, QFC and more.
At the event, 21 mills exhibited both contract and domestic textiles.
Graham Stewart of Collins and Hayes commented: "It is a prestigious venue with the ability to view the best of international fabrics.”
Tina Evans of Shop Direct was similarly impressed, and welcomed being able to meet representatives from so many mills in one just day.
Each mill showed within an executive box of the football club, a facility which allowed for private consultations with individual companies. The venue has been re-booked for the end of February 2016, and more mills are expected to show.
The BFM's Jackie Bazeley says: “We are delighted at the response from visitors and exhibitors alike. The BFM aimed to deliver a show which provided a friendly, professional environment in which to do business, combined with a choice of international fabric brands. From the feedback to date, this was achieved. We will of course not become complacent, and will review the feedback and look at how we can continually improve the event.”
