BIFE-SIM

Between 17th-21st September, Bucharest’s Romexpo Exhibition Centre will host a new merger of two of the most important furniture fairs in Romania, BIFE and SIM. The international BIFE-SIM 2013 fair will feature furniture, equipment and accessories from Romania, one of the world’s most successful furniture exporters.

BIFE-SIM 2013 will be divided into six sectors – Classic, Design, Comfort, Kitchen, Accessories and Materials, and Equipment and Machinery – to provide a clearer structure for visitors and exhibitors. Each sector will feature innovative styles, practical concepts, and technologies that will boost efficiency.

The most prolific companies in the Romanian furniture market will exhibit across 30,000m2, demonstrating their grasp on styles both traditional and innovative.

The Romanian furniture fair will also feature plenty of other events that take place during the show. These include: Furniture Forum, an international conference; Innovation Tour, a concept that highlights the products of tomorrow; Designers Say where interior designers will provide valuable advice; and the creative workshops/ReCreation and National Design Competition.

Wood industry professionals will be exclusively welcomed on the first and busiest day of the fair, aimed squarely at meeting the needs of furniture manufacturers, national and international specialists in the furniture industry, architects, interior designers, and importers and exporters of furniture and other products for the industry.

Romania is a major furniture exporter, renowned for its quality. The country has a strong tradition of solid wood furniture production – mainly in oak, chestnut, cherry, beech, maple and ash – which will be represented at BIFE-SIM by local manufacturers that specialise in classical furniture for foreign markets.

BIFE-SIM 2013 is organised by the Romexpo fairground in collaboration with the Romanian Furniture Manufacturers Association (APMR), the Romanian Chambers of Commerce and Industry, and Euroexpo.

Thousands of visitors are expected to attend the fair, which will bring together the Romanian furniture industry, finished wood products, raw materials, auxiliary materials and accessories, furnishings and wood processing equipment – as well as a number of foreign manufacturers and importers.
