100% Design marks 25th anniversary with new attractions

This year will mark the 25th anniversary of 100% Design. Celebrating a quarter century of introducing some of the industry’s most influential designers, makers and producers, the 2019 show, taking place from 18th-21st September at Olympia London, will present more than 400 exhibitors, bringing the latest products across furniture, lighting, textiles, glazing, surfaces, accessories and more.

Striking installations, collaborations and projects promise thought-provoking experiences that push the boundaries of design.

New this year, 100% Design will present A Sense of Finland, curated by Finnish/English designer Hanna Laikola. The pavilion will allow visitors to explore Finnish furniture, products and lighting focused around sustainability, wellbeing and healthy living environments.

One of the key areas of 100% Design is Design London, which this year has been curated to include a selection of the world’s leading interior brands – such as Arper, Benchmark, Dare Studio, Boss Design and Antonio Lupi.

Another addition for 2019 will be a new exhibition space, Detail London, which promises the latest high-end contemporary soft furnishings and wallcoverings from international design companies.

This year will also see the return of Design Fresh, a celebration of emerging talent selected by 100% Design at New Designers, with a further selection by Barbara Chandler, design editor of Homes & Property at the London Evening Standard.

Other features include: an installation highlighting how interior designers are using Instagram to connect and inspire; Material Studio, a collaboration with Material Driven featuring 22 innovative materials;

100% Design will again be part of the West Kensington Design District, and will also present Talks with 100% Design, offering more than 50 in-depth conversations and debates with designers and architects, and a specialist look at trends and current issues.
