Malaysia's MIFF re-opens online this month

In the absence of its physical exhibition, the Malaysian International Furniture Fair (MIFF) will again host its online exhibition, MIFF Furniverse, running from 8-12th March.

The event promises to enable global furniture buyers to conduct online furniture sourcing in real time with high-profile furniture manufacturers and exporters.

According to organiser Informa Markets, MIFF Furniverse will bring together 70 online exhibitors, offering an extensive range of home and office furniture, as well as some of the best Malaysian wooden furniture.

Originating in Malaysia, the US, Ireland, Taiwan, Indonesia and China, MIFF Furniverse's exhibitors are looking forward to engaging buyers. Around 1200 global buyers from over 100 countries and regions have registered to attend, with strong numbers from North America, Africa and Eastern Europe joining the traditional core of MIFF's Asia Pacific buyers.

“Based on the feedback received from the first edition last year, MIFF Furniverse is now back with enhanced platform features and improved business-matching solution to provide real-time trading opportunities for buyers and exhibitors," says Karen Goi, MIFF's general manager. "We continue to build on our strong legacy as a partner to the global industry to expand exports, drive economic growth, and prosperity for all. We maintain our engagement with exhibitors and global buyers to ensure MIFF sustains its position as a unique trade show – both online and on-site.”

With enhanced features, MIFF Furniverse promises to make live interaction with suppliers – via chat or video call – to schedule meetings with exhibitors more efficient than previously. Exhibitors can also reach out to the buyers online in the Exhibitor Lounge to maximise their engagement.

“We believe MIFF Furniverse is able to provide a unique online event experience and alternate digital solutions for our exhibitors and buyers to continue their business,” adds Karen.

Alongside the exhibitor line-up, there will be two content sessions (part of the MIFF Creative Business Webinar Series) moderated by Dr Eric Leong, scheduled for 9th and 10th March. Speakers will include representatives from Home Best Enterprise, Oasis Furniture, Reliable Trend, and Stream Empire Holdings.

Buyers can register online now to receive complimentary platform access to connect with furniture manufacturers and sellers from around the world.

MIFF's 26th edition will take place from 1st-4th September 2021 in Kuala Lumpur.
