After being postponed for two years, VIFA EXPO returned to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, from 31st August to 3rd September this year, and saw 175 exhibitors engage a total of 11,156 visitors, reports the show's organiser.
This was the first time the show, which traditionally takes place each March, was held in the summer.
The exhibitor base included suppliers from 12 countries outside Vietnam, while foreign visitors accounted for 4652 of the attendees (from 89 countries and territories). UK visitors took 6th place in terms of numbers.
The fair's seminars proved popular. Canadian Wood: Exceptional Design Flexibility, held by Canadian Wood Vietnam and Lien Minh Company, and Digital Application for Export, held by Vayana, Lean Supply Chain, Datasean and Lien Minh Company, attracted around 100 and 30 attendees, respectively.
VIFA EXPO will return to its traditional spring timeline for the 14th edition, which will take place from 8–11th March 2023 at Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center (SECC).
The show promises to be "bigger, better and bolder in scale, brand and service", and aims to bring together more than 600 exhibitors. With the return of fellow Far East sourcing opportunities such as MIFF and EFE (Malaysia), IFEX (Indonesia), and 3F and CIFF (China), the show looks primed for a return to form in 2023.
