Sustainable furniture brand Another Country is celebrating nearly 15 years since its founding with a refresh of its Marylebone retail space in London.
The revamped showroom, designed in collaboration with colour consultancy Etté, unveils a contemporary aesthetic featuring vibrant block colours, new merchandise and a redesigned layout.
As a designer/maker of natural, solid wood and upholstered furniture, Another Country strives to celebrate the tactile, immersive experience of physical retail, and says its updated showroom offers a gallery-like environment in which customers can experience the textures, quality, and craftsmanship of each piece up close.
“With the convenience of ecommerce, we sometimes forget the depth and engagement a bricks-and-mortar experience can bring,” says founder Paul de Zwart. “Our goal is to create a visually engaging, immersive space that fosters a deeper connection with our products and values, and not to just be a showroom for the website. Many of the artworks and handcrafted products that are for sale will not be listed online, for example.”
The redesigned showroom pairs Another Country’s iconic collections with a selection of art and objects curated by Ette. Etté, led by founders Despina Curtis and Natalie Jones, helped transform the space using "a colour palette of bold, rich hues that highlight the architectural details of the space, whilst a warm neutral base adds a sense of layered depth and character".
Spanning 140 sqm across two floors at 18 Crawford Street, Marylebone, the showroom features a selection of Another Country’s most popular pieces alongside an evolving display of exclusive items available in-store only.
