National Bed Federation appoints new vice president

The owner and founder of one of the largest UK suppliers of mattress labels has been appointed as the new vice president of the National Bed Federation.

"Becoming vice president is a great honour and a role which I will relish," says Simon Green. "I feel I have something new to ‘bring to the table’ and I am looking forward to working alongside the newly elected president Stuart Hibbert who I know has lots of new invigorating ideas to help promote the NBF and our industry.”

Simon set up CPS 20 years ago with his father, supplying general printing to local businesses within South Wales. Following this, it shifted direction to supply the upholstery industry, before later expanding into the bedding market.

“We spent over a year investigating the bedding industry and sourcing materials and specialised inks to manufacture mattress labels,” says Simon. “We are now one of the largest suppliers within the industry, and have also been recognised by winning the prestigious NBF 2012 Component Supplier of the Year award.”

The National Bed Federation is the recognised trade association representing UK manufacturers of beds and their suppliers. Founded in 1912, its members today account for about 75% of the total UK bedding turnover.
