Lombok's Tottenham Court Road store closed "temporarily"

Hand-crafted furniture retailer Lombok has temporarily closed its Tottenham Court Road store.

According to MD Stuart Lewis: “Lombok has had to close its store on Tottenham Court Road temporarily following a serious issue that requires the store to be closed in order for it to be resolved. We expect to be open again within a few days.

“We remain open for business at Redbrick Mill and online and our store staff and customer services remain available on the phone on our usual phone numbers in the intervening period.”

The once 19-store retailer was bought out of pre-pack administration for the first time in 2009 by Privet Capital, and then again in 2011 by the same investor, leaving only the Tottenham Court Road store, its Redbrick Mill outlet store and House of Fraser concession.

UPDATE: As of 9th November, the issues have reportedly been resolved and the retailer is now operating as normal.
