Memory Foam Warehouse announces record online sales

Specialist mattress manufacturer Memory Foam Warehouse has announced record online sales for the first seven days of its Winter Sale, with an increase of over 25% on last year. In addition to its online retail business, Memory Foam Warehouse now has 6 UK retail outlets, with more planned for 2014. MD Neal Spencer says: "The Winter Sale has been a great success for us so far, and we expect that to continue throughout January."

As well as the latest encouraging figures, Memory Foam Warehouse’s parent company, GNG Group Yorkshire plc has also recently announced acquisition of new premises in Leeds, West Yorkshire, as part of its continuing growth. Now producing over 150,000 mattresses per year, the current sites in Wakefield and Liversedge had reached capacity. GNG has moved its Healthcare Division to the new 15,000 sq ft manufacturing facility off Whitehall Road in Leeds, allowing its 30,000 sq ft facility in Wakefield to focus on the burgeoning production of domestic mattresses, vital for meeting the needs of the growing online business, and their key trade accounts.

Group chairman Philip Whittell says: "The continued growth of the business made it essential for us to find additional manufacturing space, enabling us to continue to offer an excellent level of service and quality. The latest expansion means we are able to focus machinery and staff on specific areas of the business, and consequently increase overall productivity and efficiency."
