In a report published by InsideOnline, Furnish.co.uk has been named the UK’s fastest growing furniture website, ahead of retailers such as Dwell, Habitat, Achica and Occa. With many traditional retailers struggling to maintain market share, Furnish.co.uk has grown with a 427% increase in organic searches from 2013-2014.

Launched in 2005 by Simon Hill, a former child prodigy, having gained his A Level in computer science aged just 11, he had started his first software company by the time he was just 12. The concept of furnish.co.uk was first conceived by Simon’s wife Lisa after they had spent a frustrating three years trying to source great products for their newly renovated home.

Lisa says: “The internet was full of the same products from the same companies and we were frustrated trawling through endless magazines and shops. So we sought to provide a home interiors marketplace website where designers and sellers could list gorgeous products from the niche through to the more popular designer items and where every product was hand-picked by us to ensure it was fabulous.”

The secret to Furnish.co.uk’s success is offering customers a large range of curated interiors products, far more so than traditional retailers can achieve due to Furnish being a marketplace. Despite the extensive product offering, Furnish.co.uk still offer personal customer service, helping residential and trade customers pull together everything they need for their project.

Since its launch Furnish.co.uk has grown from strength to strength and won the prestigious Smarta 100: the smartest small businesses in the UK awards.

“We’ve still a way to go to become as big as many of the well-known home interiors brands. But the great news is that this report shows our online presence is growing faster than all of them,” says Simon.
