Collins and Hayes augments sales team

Upholstery manufacturer Collins and Hayes has announced the arrival of Emma Hughes to its sales team. Starting in time for the brand's new collection launch at the January Furniture Show, Emma will be looking after the South-west, Midlands, Wales and Ireland.

Emma started in the furniture market at Laura Ashley before moving on to Ercol Furniture and spending a number of years with Alstons. More recently, Emma has been working for Welsh manufacturer Westbridge Furniture Designs.

She says: "I am thrilled to be joining Collins and Hayes at this exciting time with the relaunch of the brand at NEC."

MD Matt O'Flynn adds: "Emma has a good understanding of the upholstery market and fabric trends. We are looking forward to working with her, supporting our customers with renewed vigour and a more tailored approach."

Earlier this month, Bruce Cowen, who had worked for 32 years as the company's area sales manager and, more recently, its agent in the south-west of England, retired.
