In association with UK Trade & Investment (UKTI), the BFM supported and secured grant funding for 22 companies exhibiting at the Salone del Mobile fair and Satellite events in Milan at the end of April.

The BFM members exhibiting at Rho Fiera comprised Ercol, Duresta, Parker Knoll and Wesley-Barrell, while, for the first time, the BFM also staged a BFM stand, featuring members Thomas Lloyd, Gascoigne Designs and Art Forma. Non-member Heathfield Lighting was also supported under the programme, within the Euroluce exhibition. In addition to these, 11 companies were supported in collaboration with Designersblock, with a further four referred to BFM as the Accredited Trade Organisation for the event.

Nick Garratt, MD of ercol, comments: “We consider the Salone del Mobile in Milan to be the world’s leading furniture fair, and this is the second time that ercol has exhibited at the event. The show was a great success for ercol, and the number of visitors to our stand surpassed anything we have seen at any other event. This show is a terrific opportunity to showcase the best of British design in furniture to a global audience, and ercol’s classic and new designs were well received by our visitors.”
