Arper showroom home to new collections

Arper is now displaying its newest collections - Steeve and Parentesit - at its London hub in the Clerkenwell district.

Recently launched to the design world at Salone del Mobile, the two new collections can now be seen in the flesh at the Arper showroom. The pieces represent Arper’s unique ability to appeal to both the residential and contract market.

Steeve, Jean-Marie Massaud’s elegant new modular seating system, consisting of a bench, an armchair and a sofa, is imagined for the refined home or work environment, and is characteristically highly adaptable. With a clean aesthetic, Steeve’s silhouette is solid and architectural, while at the same time appearing slender, light and volumetric. An industry innovation, the uniquely manufactured seamless back and arm covers stretch to fit the frame, eliminating the need for complex upholstery techniques.

Parentesit, designed by Lievore Altherr Molina, is an acoustic wall module that reduces extraneous background noise, thereby creating ambient zones in open-place spaces. Available in round, square and oval, Parentesit is fully customisable in Arper’s extensive fabric collections. This aesthetic, functional wall covering can be hung individually or in panels for further acoustic qualities and greater impact. It can also be accessorised with a wi-fi speaker and LED surround lighting.

Sitting prominently in the large window space of the showroom is Arper’s first office chair. Designed by Lievore Altherr Molina and launched at Orgatec, the Kinesit chair uses Soft Technology, a unique approach and philosophy to subtly integrate functionality into its designs. Light and elegant with a seamless silhouette, Kinesit’s seat and back are fully adjustable. This allows it to conform to individual body types for optimal comfort. The chair features a built-in Self-Tensioning Weight Response Mechanism discreetly hidden under the seat that is designed to automatically respond to the weight and pressure of the user.
